ARNEL PINEDA'S version criticized

Arnel Pineda's version of National Anthem which he sang yesterday during Manny's fight was being critizised by many and even National Historic Institute made a statement about this controversy. I heared on radio that Arnel Pineda may put in jail if proven that he had made his own version of the national anthem.

An excerpt follows:

"The National Historical Institute said Sunday it was filing a complaint against Journey lead singer Arnel Pineda for changing the tone and tempo of the Philippine national anthem when he sang it before the Pacquiao-Clottey bout in Texas.
Pineda sang "Lupang Hinirang" (Beloved Land) during Pacquiao’s successful bout against Joshua Clottey of Ghana on Saturday (Sunday in Manila), his powerful, high-pitched voice filling the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
But Teddy Atienza, chief of the Heraldry Section of the NHI, was not pleased. A "24 Oras" report quoted him as saying that they would file a complaint against Pineda before the Department of Justice for his "wrong" version of the national anthem.
The NHI is the government body tasked to ensure respect for the national anthem, Philippine flag and other national symbols.
Under Section 37 of Republic Act 8491 or the Flag and Heraldic Code, the national anthem must be sung in accordance with the original musical arrangement of composer Julian Felipe, who gave it a marching tempo. Violators may be fined P5,000 to P20,000 or jailed for a year.

I am just sad that every time our artists sand their rendition during Pacquio fight, every one of us has on eye on their mistakes, why dont we just move on and just focus on other things. Coz that petty instance will make the world laugh on us. Its not that the artist or the artists choose to revised the song, its just that they wanted to show to the world that Filipinos has talents not only in sports but has worldwide caliber.

Hurray and Mabuhay, its once again another reason to celebrate, our very own Manny Pacquio made it again against The Pride of Ghane - Joshua Clottey. Pacquio wins over unanimous decision from the fight yesterday at Dallas, Texas which was star - studded and truelly a magnificient fight. THough i havent watched his fight live but i was on eye every second of the fight through the live streaming at ANC. Like the usual scenario everywhere when Manny fights, its very peaceful and no traffic at all. Seldom u see people going out from their respective houses other than the venue of the live coverage. But after the fight, you will see people talking about the Pound for Pound King. Indeed, it really makes us so proud to be a Filipino.

PEACE OF MIND: WHERE TO BUY IT?

Many of us, wants a perfect life, yes we all dreamed of that even though we knew that no one and nothing on this earth is perfect. We are all driven by our imaginary power of what is ideal and what is pleasant on our eyes. Apparantly, some of the perfect scenery has some imperfections inside that are not visible by our human eyes, thats why we all crave for "peace of mind" - what do we mean exactly by that? is is when u were able to sleep well at night? or is it when ur at the most expensive bed in the world with fully air-conditioned room. I guess, and i would like to believe that when you say we have peace of mind, its an estate of condition where we have less worries, less fears and of course we have clean conscience. I dont know exactly how to explain it in details but everybody wants it and almost each one of us wishes for that thing. It cannot be brought at any department store nor can be stolen, its such a condition that would be automatically be felt when our heart is free from hatred, fears and craved for earthly possesions.
