The Supreme Court Heard Their Plea

With numerous petitions to stop the Cyber Crime law, at last today the SC issued its first ruling:

An excerpt below:

----------------------------------

The Supreme Court (SC) has issued a temporary restraining order against the highly controversial Cybercrime Prevention Law, following several petitions to amend or junk it. In its en banc session Tuesday, SC barrrf the government from implementing the controversial Cybercrime Prevention Act.

The TRO is already in force, and will remain so for 120 days. According to the TRO signed by SC Clerk of Court Enriqueta Vidal, the Office of the Solicitor General has 10 days to comment on petitions filed against the Cybercrime Law. The Supreme Court deliberated on 15 petitions asking it to void the Cybercrime Law and resolved to have them consolidated.

The Court has also set oral arguments on the petitions on January 15, 2013. At the same time, the Department of Justice will follow the SC order to put the implementation of the Cybercrime Prevention Act on hold, DoJ Secretary Leila de Lima said Tuesday.

On Acting Auditions...

Just recently i am in close watch about a family feud turned killings. The suspect is just a sibling of the victim and worst they're the sons and daughter of a well-known political and celebrity figure. I am disgusted how those once sibling rivalry turned to be a serious problem that worst made the mom clueless about such incidents. I pity the mother for being blind about her kids social and personality disorder, I do use disorder because once an attitude became so worst it cannot be seen as a typical attitude problem but rather something that should be treated by psychological rep.I didnt expect that the younger woman is capable of doing the crime. She lied to the police authority and issued different statement when found out by the authorities. As of this writing, the latter has just flew to Hingkong maybe to save a little shame for herself but of course knowing how the case is so much publicized, her face can never be kept from public scrutiny.

Ohh well, did i mentioned that their clan is one of the showbiz legends that is highly respected in the industry. The victim's father is a former senator and celebrity who was once tagged as the playboy in the limelight. I noticed too that the suspect being dragged in the case has a potential face in showbiz. She has the charm and the appeal and im sure she wll pass on acting auditions. I wish she just try to be a celebrity than keeping track at his brother accomplishments. Sometimes, its not so good to become insecure coz it really creates an evil deeds. Its just nice to become humble and friendly, Thats where successful and blessed people came from, right? Just take an easy paddle guys. Dont take trials seriously. It will just give you wrinkles and ugly acne. You will look old and disgusting. On the other end, if you will just create a peaceful enviroment with less hatred and gossiping then im sure you will look younger and refreshing. Bear that in mind guys.

Shocked

The death of former Sec Angelo Reyes really shocked the whole nation. At first, it was hard for me to believe the breaking news coz i was thinking it was somebody else who shot him but eventually after i listened to the news, it made me think that Sec Reyes has indeed suffered a devastating psychological dilemma that is one of the factors contributory to the Suicide thing of a person. My last glimpse of him was when i watched the hearing re;AFP probe and i even commented when i saw his shot that he lost weight, and it was really visible and seeing him made me think that he is carrying a heavy burden on his heart. But i couldnt believe that the next time i will see him on news, is him at the coffin. I knew he is facing a difficult situation when he passed away and i knew too how difficult it was for him to leave his family with the said scenario. But as human, i hope we could give him a just and rightful conclusion on anything that concerns him, his issues and his death.

Corruption in the Government; An Overview

My former professor once said " Public Office is a Public Trust", the professor is no other than the fomer Commissioner of the Commission on Audit on which he served almost half of his life in the public service. He was a great teacher in so far as the entire discussions on the different subject matter is concern, he always has an opnion on anything that concerns the government particularly about the corruption issues in general. There was even one time when we were debating on the credibility of the country in the international arena of course putting into the picture the massive and large scale graft and corruption that is visible in any government office. I personally would tell that this thing is no longer a disease but its already like a cancer that is too far for eradicating but the real time solution is just to lessen, if we still wanted to. I am not telling that there is no good people behind the bureacracy because i know there is and there are people who wanted to make a difference. Like the auditor, Ms. Heide Mendoza, who is the recent eye witness for the alleged AFP corruption. She was been interrogated during the hearing today and i was touched by her courage of coming out in the open to expose the misconduct and graft issues behind the office of the Armed Forces. I was shocked by the amount she was mentioning and totally amazed of how she was so sure of what she was talking. I realized it isnt just a penny that government is spending and wasting for the government officials who just use the office for their respective personal agenda. I am saddened of the fact that these ordinary people who are faithfully contributing to the government through their taxes were just wasting their money and is just directly putting it in the pocket of selfish government officials who has no soul of using the public money as if their own. I wanted to condemn these officials of misappropriating public funds and saddend by the fact that the Audit department of these country is not that effective and credible anymore. It is indeed true that no matter how we try to save the world in our own little way when we are also sorrounded by larger number of people who has selfisg agenda than selfless deeds, then our ambition of changing the institution will surely be overtake. However, i am still hopeful that the generation to come will have more patriotism towards teh country and aim for a change. A change that will not just change or eradicate corruption but in a larger scale will aim for a change in the system and in the government in general. There may be two roads of principles in this life, ive taken the one less travelled by and that has made all the difference.

Overwhelming Support

Im happy to share to you guys that my mom won last election and indeed we were lucky that she garnered a great votes from our constituents. We were really amazed that the turned out of votes was for my mom and we are in deep gratitude to those who in one way or another has helped my mom coz i knew her winning woundt be possible if not of people who loved us. I felt the love and sincere support of my closest friends and people we dont even know personally but came and supported her. Majority of their slates won and two from the other party which is not bad at all since mostly these two just ranked lower than of them. It was reallya day full of pretentions however at the end of the day its the strategy that counts at the end. I remember a girl who was campaigning for a candidate and she thought she was a somebody to convinced other people but she proved it wrong. At least now she knew where she stands and that she would learn her lesson, sadly it was the hard way. She hated my mom very much because of some things she dislikes about nonetheless it doesnt hinders and though there were negative issues they even created for my mom but we decided to keep mum but now its judgement time. Indeed you can never put a good person down. Especially that we have her at her back and we have prepared the fight. Shame on her for degrading our family as if she has the competence to do so. I knew i should never step down on her level but for some time you have to open up your bitternes so that they will knew that we also learn to fight and that if its for familys sake we will not be idle and that there are boundaries for everything. The world is not really just for powerful people and people who have money coz sometimes your money is not everything and sometimes no matter how you hate the fact there are really space for lossers. No matter how we hate to admit it but we have won the last time, we win this time and we will win for the fights to come. Cheers guys!

Election Day

This is the judgment day for all candidates hopeful for any posts. I guess some of them are already nervous of the outcome and some may already feel relieved nevertheless i am happy that we have done our best as far as support to our mom is concerned. All of us went house to house to campaign for my mom and really each of us has been so instrumental in her candidacy. As of this moment, there are still lot of people at home and really so tiring but then this is another day that is beyond special. I do hope my mom will make it but still open to the scenario of losing because we always believe that if its really for you and God wants you to be there then there's no reason why you will not end up there but if its not meant for you then no matter how you try harder, it will not really end up with you. Goodluck to us and to the rest of the candidates. I hope its still the spirit of sportsmanship that will prevail at the end.

Thrilling and Exciting

Election is already felt in our barangay and i guess even to the nearby place in town. I can already see people talking to the voters and some even prepared their vote buying strategies. Meetings are everywhere and SK voters are all gone. I wondered where they are going, but well im not so ignorant on that strategy. Nonetheless at the end of the day it all depends on the voter himself. But really i am so grateful that we were been so blessed in terms os support for my mom, financially and resources wise. At least we have already prepared everything ahead of time and all is ready. I admire how each of us support my mom all the way, from preparation of all she needs until to the last card. We also talk to one another about our respective strategies and even hired a watcher for my mom alone. Lucky that aside from the money we have set aside, our aunt came and gave us support just to make sure my mom will win and the rest of the guys who really came and gave out their personaly and monetary support for her candidacy. I knew its really been so thrilling and we are also nervous on the outcome but rest assured that lost or win, we are on her back, on her side and will always be with her, as her children. And that made her the winner.

Getting To KNow Our Candidates

Last night was our KNow your Candidates night and it went out great. Its actuallya time to know who among the aspirant are worth of our votes. I am thankful that they decided to orfanize such events so to have the voters a chance to know the abilities and capacity of those running in the posts. Ours was not as perfect as everyone would see it but still i am grateful that i knew them individually, at least their name and their background perhaps. I also was able to know which candidates are just so eager to be at the office so as to receive their respective allowances. But this monday is really a day for a change. Change in the sense that every vote counts and every vote is heard. I am crossing my finger that this election may end up peacefully.

Happy Wednesday

Its a great day for me and i hope for you too guys. I will take the last trip tonight on my way home and im so excited. At last ill be able to spend time with my family and sleep in my bed and bond with my sister. Though it will just be few days but iI still happy to be back home. Indeed, there's no place like home. Im sure its going to be a tough fight in the Barangay election but may the best people win. Its a game of strategies and of money, of course reality check. People will vote those who have money and seldom they vote for people who have sincere intentions. Anyhow, i still wish that things will went out fine. I hope candidates will be as behaved as possible and i also wish our constituents will not vote for people who are nonsense and doesn't know anything. I hope they will become intelligent voters as possible because public service requires brain. If you are just a typical individual who doesn't know anything except to listen then i guess the job is not for you, better stay at home and washed clothes. Coz progress comes when there are leaders who really know how to lead a place. Indeed leaders are not born they are made. Good luck to those who are running for an elective posts. May you all achieve your goals at the end of the day.

Barangay Election

One particular reason why i will be going home is because of the Barangay Election. My mom is one of the hopeful candidates who is running for a particular post and since we are really so close to one another, we decided that ill be going in advance to help my mom out there. We are really not in favor of her going to that dirty politics because of the fact that people in my place are so different. And that the political scenario there arent just good to people who wanted really to help and do public service. Anyways since she really want the post, we wanted to support her all the way, no matter what it takes. Shes our mom and we will always be here for her, through thick and thin. Sadly, the election is really so expensive nowadys coz vote buying is really so rampant. I just wish it doesnt really takes us that much but im in doubt coz with the required winnings people really demand for money so that they will write you in their respective ballots. Its really a headache but we want to let her feel that her children are always on her back. I just hope our preparation will be worth it. Its sad that public service is now for sale.

JUETENG ; TO LEGALIZE OR NOT?

The Senate Inquiry on jeteng probe has already started. ARchibishop Cruz faced the Blue Ribbon Committee as the whistle blower on the alleged issue of some politicians behind these game. In the midst of the inquiry, Senator Estrada told the hearing committee of his stand on the issue, saying that its better to legalize jueteng than stoping it.Because of the widespread operations of this game and rampant addictions of our fellow constituentes, some believes that thsi may bring additional revenue to the country if this will legalize but given the hypothetical theory of such bulk add on on our revenuew plus an economic stability, Is it good to hear from our international audience that the Philippines becomes progressive because of jueteng? If you are given such compliment, will you take it positively or the other way around. Thats the things. However, there are pors and cons attached to the battle of making this game legit, the after effect may be good to the country especially in this midst of crises and will surely be a great help to a financially crippled government and its not only the government that will benefit this decision, even our ordinary tao who rely on this game for their means of survival, more and more people will be given jobs and can avail of the social benefits. Some are even saying that why does casinos has legit opertions when in fact its also a game like jueteng and why this latter is always the main subject for moral standars when there are lots of illegit games in the country. To cap these, i believe is about time that we should come up with the right resolution to this problem, weigh those arguments and come up with the right decision that will be both beneficial to the government and to the society in general.

THE COMMISSION'S COMMISSION

I remember my professor way back in my college years, he was our professor on our major subject on public governance, he is actually the former commisioner of COA, i couldnt help but remember him, as ive watched the news about the different scandals and issues the COMELEC is facing and previous controversies that involves the agency. Of course as a taxpayer i dont want to be silent about this matters especially if it involves the credibility of this department. They are not controlled by any executive or maybe under controlled by any department. They are independent body like COA. I use to admire COMELEC before because of course of the great performance they once had and the good track record they have, but now after all that came out, my confidence towards this body seems to lose and worst im losing it. From the ballot secrecy folder to the indelible ink and now to the new issue about the warehouse that theyre using for the temporary storage of the elections paraphernalias, i mean the auditing body has reported that COMELEC could save a lot if they have build their own warehouse than renting a figure of millions of pesos every month. I dont understand why it end up this way and i dont understand too why this issues came out just now, when their are commisions who oversee the expenses of every department but sad to say they have toleratde this things.
I remember a friend of mine who use to pay 9k a month for his tax, she is complaining about how gogevrnement is very aggresive in getting tax from every working individual when sadly it just goes to one's pocket. I hope thsi coming new adminastration, reform will takes place and of course hopefully our confidence to the goverment will eventually be back. Its us who make sthis government survives. I hope once and for all, its for us and for us alone that will be the best interest.

THE NINE SENATORS

The senatorial candidates who were proclaimed include Ramon “Bong” Revilla, Jinggoy Estrada, Juan Ponce Enrile, Pia Cayetano, Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, and Ralph Recto. Senator-elect Miriam Defensor, and Franklin Drilon, Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. were absent from their formal proclamation.
Early birds Enrile and Sotto were seen wearing a barong, while Pia Cayetano who was accompanied by brother Alan Peter Cayetano was seen wearing a pencil-cut skirt and a sleeveless blouse with geometric red and white stripes.
Jinggoy Estrada who later arrived with his family and a big entourage. He was followed by top senatorial candidate and local celebrity Bong Revilla arrived close to 3 p.m. He was accompanied by wife Lani. Well-wishers and some “fans” were quick to pose with most of the celebrity senatorial candidates

VILLAR CONCEDES

It seems that the Nationalistas bet Manny Villar has accepted his loss, when he asks for a press conference just an hour ago and anounces that he already accepted his loss and he congratulate Aquino, though the results thats coming out from COMELEC as of this time is still unofficial, he already accepted from the bottom of his heart that the people have spoken as to whom they want for the top position. The rest of the candidate is still on mum and i guess waiting for the final announcement form the body. I admire his courage for coming out from the open and accepted the decision and respect the voice of the people- it simplifies the true quality of a good leader.

STILL LEADING

The latest on our presidential race, as of this time, COMELEC countdown says that its still AQUINO who is leading the race and followed by ESTRADA and VILLAR and so on. THis count is based on 50 percent turn out of voters from different precincts in the country, while in the presidential race the unexpected turin out goes to the no 1 spot for BINAY then followed by ROXAS and LEGARDA, it seems that the surveys speaks for itself, But sad to the say the consistent survey's leading ROXAS has been on the back of BINAY already which was unexpected. A while ago the COMELEC still adviced the public that its still unofficial and uncanvassed, it means that they still have to double check the back up memory of the respective PCOS from different places to verify the results that was transmitted to the body. More update later......

VOTE BUYING

I was in deep thought about the recent political condition in my country, I was even bothered when a kid asked me, Is Election full of Money? I couldn’t utter any word from her query, will I say yes? Or will I lie and said the other thing, the kid knew how politics is dirty and how she saw her parents accepting money from strangers in exchange of their commitments to vote for that candidate. And now its time for her to confirm and the sad thing, it will comes from me. Since I am more protective of the thought it will possibly gave to her, I refuse to answer her question and change the topic immediately. I knew what she was thinking and I knew what she was feeling all along, But sad to say instead that we – the older people to influence our kids with good manners, ITS us who mold our children to be the person they will be in the future, I doubt if the time came that this bribery and vote buying will be eradicated coz with the passage of time, I have experienced how it became WORST. Now in my generation, our present generation, when we aim for CHANGE, but are we really worth of it? Are we worth of good governance we are dreaming of, can we build a government free from corruptions, can we passed on a better government to our children, I will leave that to you to answer to that question, coz if you will allow a dirty government to your children, then perhaps you are one of those people who are dying to bargain their vote, even to the cheapest currency. BUT if you are one of those few individuals who wanted to make a difference, then youre one of the few and rare minds who care for their futures children – in a government not that much ideal but worthy of respect and trust of its constituents.

THE NEXT PRESIDENT

Who will be the next president of this republic? Will it be the yellow partisan, The man who claimed to be for the poor? or will it be the man tasked by God? Indeed we dont know who will be our next leader. I am have my personal bet and of course you do have too, i may not have right to tell u to like my bet nor to convince me to favor with your bet but at the end of day, its for the betterment of the country that is the main bottom line, So to the next FIRST FAMILY - i do hope that you would learn to cherish the vote of each one of us who believes in your capability and passion for CHANGE. Hope the next six years will not result into rallies and protest for a wasted VOTE.

ELECTION MEME

Im happy to share with your guys my experience on this 2010 first automated elections. In our precinct, the process runs very smoothly, it was organized and very peaceful. I apprecaite the ever supportive BEI's and PPCRV volunteers, Thank guys. As far as i observed this election was very good, it was fast, easy and very convenient to all voters. As of this time 75 percent of all the voters in my place have voted already, so by 3 pm i guess we are already ready for casting. I believe that this automated elections is really favorable not only to the voters but to the elction bosy as well, less responsiblities and the results are really casted so fast. As of COMELEC, tonight by 10 pm they will already knew the result at least of 50 percent of the polling results nationwide. Of course there are areas that faced problems on their PCOS but i knew the COMELEC have already addressed their concern.

ARE U FOR SALE?

Despite the bills that will flourish tomorrow and some even tonight, is your vote for sale? i knew this is a tough question but it is also a life changing decision coz if you choose the other then its like saying you expect a dirty government and worst bureacracy to come. BUt if youll start that change today then for sure there will be a bright future ahead of us and more positove government for our children. I knew being financially crippled temt us to accept these offers but isnt it great feeling to wake up one morning having a clean conscience and we have the chance to vote for the one person we believe that will give the difference rather than goung to the precinct and recalling how much this candidate gave us and we have no choice at all but to write his name because our vote was already sold, so as the government and our childrens future. Thus if you ahve accepted those envelopes and then regret at the end because these politicians did not do for the betterment of our place but has just mind his own business and busy how he will managed his wealth. BUT if we will start the CHANGE and refuse to let our sacred votes to be sold, then one day when that person assumed into office and he did not do well in terms of the service for his constituents, then i am the first one to advice you to knock at his office, and tell him that you regret giving your one sole vote, that alone will make the DIFFERENCE.

THE COLOR OFYOUR VOTE

IT was not only the streamers, ribbons, leaflets nor ballpens that has clicked the campaign period nowadays, but bracelets too and even the our favorite colors says something else. THat is why the endorsers are more careful in chooisng their clothesm the colors and even more careful the way they positioned their fingers coz it might says somethin else, how funny but only these ELECTION i have encountered lots of personal black propaganda, immature campaigns and lots of below the belt propaganda. OF course, filipinos are not that matured but there are also extents that people says "ITS TOO MUCH" like for instance the latest balck propaganda for NOYNOY AQUINO, which qesutioned his mental health, it really didnt clicked and even fall back for the party who initiated those malicious news. Nevertheless, it has also taught a lot of things to the voters, to be more vgilant to the candidates, and that at the end of the day it will help in chosing for the right man in the position.
WEll. whatever color we are to, lets al walk out from our shelter and exerciseour right for sufrage, coz its only i this moment we will contribute to our society a change, that afte all, WE ARE WAITING FOR.
